🔧 Product Description

Genuine Faria Chesapeake White SS Fuel Level Gauge - Catalogue Number: 13801

A genuine Faria Beede 2-inch fuel-level gauge originally fitted to a Mustang boat dashboard. "Mustang" identifies the donor vessel or dashboard application; the instrument manufacturer and catalogue reference are Faria Beede.

The gauge has the Chesapeake White Stainless Steel appearance, with a perimeter-lit white dial, blue and white graphics, polished stainless bezel, white pointer and domed glass lens. It displays Empty, Half and Full fuel levels using a compatible variable-resistance tank sender.

⚙️ Key Features

• Genuine Faria Beede marine fuel gauge

• Faria catalogue number 13801

• Faria factory number GP9373

• Chesapeake White Stainless Steel face and bezel

• 2-inch instrument with an approximately 53 mm mounting hole

🔄 Supersession & Cross Reference

OEM Supersession Chain:

• 13801 is the Faria catalogue number

• GP9373 is the corresponding Faria factory number

• No Mustang-specific supersession has been verified

Aftermarket / Verified Equivalents:

• Faria 13801 / GP9373 is the verified direct replacement

• Other 2-inch marine fuel gauges are functional alternatives only when the sender resistance range, mounting diameter and wiring are compatible

• VDO, Sierra and Teleflex fuel gauges are not direct cosmetic equivalents

🚤 Compatibility

Commonly used on:

• Mustang boat instrument panels using the Chesapeake White SS gauge series

• Marine fuel tanks with a sender matched to the Faria gauge calibration

• 12-volt negative-ground electrical systems

Typically suits:

• Petrol or diesel-powered boats where the fuel sender and wiring match

• Outboard, sterndrive and inboard vessels

• Dash panels accepting a 2-inch nominal gauge and approximately 53 mm cutout

• Gauge Type: Electrical fuel-level gauge

• Display: Empty - Half - Full

• Nominal Size: 2 inches

• Electrical System: 12 VDC negative ground

🔌 Function

The gauge passes a low electrical current through the tank sender. As the float moves with the fuel level, sender resistance changes and the gauge needle moves between Empty and Full.

Common signs of failure:

• Gauge remains permanently on Empty or Full

• Needle changes when the sender wire is moved

• Poor tank or gauge ground causes inaccurate readings

• Gauge and sender resistance ranges do not match

• Lens fogs or the perimeter light fails

• Corroded terminals create intermittent readings

📦 Condition

• Genuine used part

• In good working condition unless otherwise stated
