🔧 Product Description

A genuine Volvo Penta locking tab washer used to secure nuts in selected exhaust, flange and engine-component installations. After the fastener is torqued, the washer tab is bent against the nut or adjacent surface to prevent rotation from vibration. The part has broad legacy marine and industrial coverage. It appears in TAD1030GE inlet and exhaust assemblies with flange 847326, stud 924064, nut 946330 and hose 846852, and is also used in earlier marine engine systems where the same locking is specified geometry.

🔌 Function

The tab washer sits under a bolt head or nut and has its tab bent up against the fastener flat after tightening, locking it in place so engine vibration cannot loosen the joint. It provides positive mechanical locking rather than relying on friction alone.

  • Fastener found loose or backed off, indicating the locking tab has failed
  • Flattened or deformed tab that no longer holds against the bolt or nut flat
