A genuine Volvo Penta camshaft timing gear for 30-, 31-, 40-, 41-, 42-, 43-, 44- and KAD300-family diesel engines. The gear meshes with the timing idler train to drive the camshaft at half crankshaft speed and preserve valve and injection timing. The gear is used with idler gear 1542061, thrust washer 1542065, camshaft bushing 1542067 and the corresponding crankshaft and injection-pump gears. Tooth condition and backlash must be checked as a complete gear train.

🔌 Function
