This is a genuine Volvo Penta L-nipple / drain cock for the cooling system of TAMD, TAD, TWD, TID and TD 12- and 16-litre marine and industrial diesel engines. The angled fitting provides a controlled draining and connection point within the coolant circuit, allowing the system to be emptied for service, winterisation or repair. It is the current replacement for the earlier elbow nipple part numbers 3826916 and 942021.

🔌 Function

The L-nipple provides an angled threaded connection point in the engine cooling circuit, while the drain cock allows coolant to be released in a controlled manner. It is used when emptying the cooling system for servicing, coolant renewal or freeze protection.
