🔌 Function
The thermostat housing encloses the cooling system thermostat and channels coolant between the engine block, the bypass passage and the heat exchanger or radiator circuit. It provides the sealed mounting point that allows the thermostat to regulate engine operating temperature.

- Renew gasket 1545244 and all application-specific O-rings disturbed during removal.
- Clean and inspect the sealing faces, then pressure-test the cooling system after assembly.
