A genuine threaded connection fitting used in the air-compressor and special hydraulic-system plumbing on the Volvo Penta TAD1030P industrial diesel engine. The nipple installs in the compressor assembly and provides the specified M26 x 1.5 connection between the adjoining hose, filter and compressor-circuit components. This listing supplies the nipple only. The sealing gasket, hose assembly, compressor and adjoining fittings are serviced separately.

🔌 Function
The nipple provides a threaded connection point that joins a hose, pipe or component to a port on the engine while maintaining a sealed passage for fluid. Correct thread size and length are essential for the joint to seal and for the mating parts to align.

- Audible hissing or compressed-air leakage around the fitting
- Reduced compressor or auxiliary air-system pressure
- Oil, dirt or moisture staining around the threaded joint
- Cracked, corroded or mechanically damaged nipple
- Cross-threaded or stripped M26 x 1.5 threads
- Fitting repeatedly loosens during engine operation
- Leakage continues after tightening because the sealing gasket is damaged
🛠️ Service Notes
- Fit a new sealing gasket (947628) whenever the nipple is disturbed; the removed gasket will not reseal
- Check the M26 x 1.5 threads for damage and start the nipple by hand to avoid cross-threading
- Tighten to the torque specified for this fitting in the workshop manual rather than relying on the gasket to compensate for overtightening
- Support the mating hose or pipe while tightening so the joint is not loaded before the nipple is fully seated
