This genuine Volvo Penta fan ring is a cooling-airflow control ring used in the 750 mm suction-fan ring/shroud. It is manufactured to the original Volvo dimensional, material and interface requirements so the serviced assembly retains its designed alignment, sealing, load capacity and operating reliability. Nominal fan-ring diameter: 750 mm. In service, it controls airflow around the suction fan and reduces recirculation between the hot and cold sides of the radiator. 🔌 Function

The fan ring forms a shroud around the cooling fan, closing the gap between the fan blade tips and the radiator so that airflow is drawn through the radiator core rather than recirculating around it. This maintains cooling efficiency at all engine speeds and helps guard the rotating fan.

• Contact damage or scoring from fan blade strike caused by a distorted or loose ring
• Reduced cooling performance and rising coolant temperatures from air bypassing the radiator core

🛠️ Service Notes

• The fan ring guides air through the cooling package and only does its job if it is complete and correctly positioned — fit it so the fan runs centrally within it with even clearance all the way round
• Turn the fan by hand through a full revolution after fitting and check that nothing touches; a ring that fouls a blade will wreck the fan
• Use all the original fixings, rubber mounts and grommets, and check for cracks around the mounting points — a ring loose on broken mounts will fret, rattle and eventually break up
• Never run the engine with the ring or fan guard removed or damaged: it costs cooling performance and it is the guard between you and the fan
• Clean the radiator or charge-air cooler faces and inspect the fan blades while the access is good
