Genuine Volvo Penta inlet pipe used to supply clean intake air to the engine-mounted Wabco air compressor on selected TAD16 engines. It is confirmed in both Wabco 636 and Wabco 318 compressor arrangements.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Compressor intake leakage or whistling
- Dust tracks inside the pipe
- Pipe cracking or fatigue at a support
- Loose hose or O-ring joint
- Reduced compressor output from a restricted inlet
🛠️ Service Notes
- Clean both joint faces and the pipe bore before fitting, and check the bore for corrosion, scale and debris that would otherwise be carried onward
- Fit new gaskets, seals or O-rings at the joints rather than reusing the old ones
- Check the pipe for cracks, chafe damage and thinning, particularly at clamps, brackets and bends and anywhere it runs close to another component
- Offer the pipe up and start all its fasteners before tightening any, so it is not pulled into strain, then tighten evenly to the figures in the workshop manual for your engine
- Refit every bracket and support, and check clearance from moving parts and hot surfaces before running
