🔧 Product Description

🚤 Compatibility

  • Volvo Penta TAD720GE
  • Volvo Penta TAD730GE MECH
  • Volvo Penta TAD730GE EDC4
  • Volvo Penta TAD731GE MECH
  • Volvo Penta TAD731GE EDC4
  • Volvo Penta TAD532GE EDC4
  • Engine Family: TAD

⚙️ Key Features

  • Right-hand section of the cooling fan guard
  • Used with upper protector 20412295 and left protector 20412297
  • Compatible with normal-climate shroud 20405877 and hot-climate shroud 20798740
  • Secured with flange screws 20405792
  • Designed to preserve cooling airflow while limiting fan access
  • Engine type: Volvo Penta 5- and 7-litre industrial diesel

🔌 Function

Guards the right-hand side of the rotating cooling fan.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Protector bent into the fan path
  • Broken mounting holes
  • Rattling or vibration
  • Missing guard section
  • Airflow restricted by damage or debris

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Clear debris, salt and oily deposits from the grille and from the space behind it whenever it is off — a partly blocked grille restricts the airflow it exists to pass
  • Check that the grille locates fully in its aperture and that all its clips and fasteners are present, as a partly retained grille will vibrate and wear its mountings
  • Tighten fasteners into plastic or thin sheet gently, enough to hold the grille without distorting or cracking it
  • Refit the grille before the engine is run; as well as passing air it guards against contact with what sits behind it
