🛠️ Service Notes

  • Isolate the batteries first, and note which way the housing sits and how the harness runs into it before anything is disturbed
  • Move terminals across one at a time into the same cavity positions, releasing each locking tab with a proper extraction tool rather than pulling on the wire
  • Check every terminal clicks fully home and locks before the housing is closed; a terminal that is not seated will back out under vibration
  • Make sure all seals, grommets and blanking plugs are present and undamaged, and leave unused cavities plugged so the housing keeps water out
  • Support and route the harness so nothing hangs on the housing, and check the connection is dry after the first run
