• Clean the channel, flange or panel edge and remove old adhesive and corrosion before fitting; rubber will not sit down properly on a rough or contaminated edge
• Where the moulding is cut to length, fit it without stretching it — a stretched length will shrink back and leave a gap at the joint
• Work it fully home along its whole length and pay particular attention to the ends and corners, which is where a moulding lifts first
• Keep it clear of hot surfaces and moving parts, and away from fuel, oil and solvents unless the part is specified for that contact
