🔧 Product Description

Air-compressor control-cylinder gasket/sealing component used with the TAD720VE compressor unloading or control mechanism.

🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

  • Volvo Penta TAD720VE
  • Volvo Penta TAD721VE
  • Volvo Penta TAD722VE
  • Engine Family: TAD
  • HP Range: Approximately 300 HP
  • Year Range: Approximately late 1990s-2010s, depending on engine and installation

⚙️ Key Features

  • 0.108 kg
  • For the TAD720VE compressor unloading or control mechanism
  • Listed for 3 applications on TAD series engines
  • The lighter 0.048 kg gasket 20476069 seals the main compressor joint

🔌 Function

Seals the compressor control or unloading cylinder joint, keeping control air to its own passage so the compressor loads and unloads properly.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Compressor running continuously or failing to unload
  • Air escaping audibly at the control cylinder
  • Slow air pressure build-up and frequent cycling
  • Gasket found blown through or hardened on strip-down
  • Control cylinder face found scored or corroded

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Check the control cylinder and its bore for scoring before condemning the gasket - a scored bore will leak with a new gasket fitted
  • The main compressor joint takes the 0.048 kg gasket 20476069, so confirm which face you are sealing
