🔌 Function

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Diesel smell or a wet film around one of the unions
• Hard starting, hunting or a stall under load as air is drawn in at a loose joint
• A polished rub mark where the pipe has been touching a bracket or another component
• On strip-down, a cracked flare or a split at one of the bends
• Sealing faces at the ends found scored, distorted or corroded

🛠️ Service Notes

• Renew the sealing washers or O-rings at the unions rather than reusing them
• Do not reshape a pipe to make it fit - a re-bent pipe work-hardens and fatigues at the bend
• Bleed the low-pressure fuel circuit after fitting
