🔧 Product Description

This genuine Volvo Penta breather pipe is an OEM service component used in the Crankcase Ventilation / Breather Pipe. It is manufactured to the original Volvo Penta dimensional, material and interface requirements for the documented Volvo Penta 5-litre TAD5 industrial diesel application. Technical identification: Breather pipe in crankcase ventilation/oil-separator assembly; key 11. In service, it routes crankcase vapour, separated oil mist or trapped air through the specified ventilation circuit so pressure remains controlled and fluid flow is not interrupted. Selection must be confirmed by OEM part number 20506111, the exact model/product number, serial number and installed assembly configuration.

🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

  • Volvo Penta TD520VE
  • Volvo Penta TAD520VE
  • Engine Family: TD, TAD

⚙️ Key Features

  • Genuine Volvo Penta OEM breather pipe
  • OEM part number 20506111
  • Technical distinction: Breather pipe in crankcase ventilation/oil-separator assembly; key 11

🔌 Function

Routes crankcase vapour, separated oil mist or trapped air through the specified ventilation circuit so pressure remains controlled and fluid flow is not interrupted. Install without twist or preload, renew the specified seals/clamps, preserve the original routing and pressure- or leak-test the circuit after assembly.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Excessive crankcase pressure or oil pushed from seals and dipstick
  • Oil mist, wetness or leakage around the breather assembly
  • Blocked pipe or separator causing unstable ventilation
  • Increased oil consumption or smoke caused by oil carry-over
  • Cracked, hardened, collapsed or poorly retained breather pipe

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Route the new pipe exactly as the original ran, with no kinks and no sagging low point where oil or condensate can collect and block the flow
  • Support the pipe with its original clips and keep it clear of hot surfaces and moving parts; a chafed or melted breather puts oil mist into the engine space
  • Make sure both connections are clean, sealed and clamped — a leaking breather makes an oily mess and upsets crankcase pressure
  • Clean out the breather housing, hose stub or oil separator while the pipe is off; blocked crankcase ventilation pressurises the crankcase and pushes oil past seals and the dipstick
  • Check the joints again after the first run at temperature, when the pipe is soft and connections can settle
