🛠️ Service Notes
- Confirm the kit is the one for your unit before starting, and lay the contents out against the parts you remove so nothing is left in the packet
- Replace every seal, gasket and wearing part the kit supplies, even where the old one still looks serviceable — mixing old and new sealing parts in one joint is the usual reason a repair leaks again
- Work clean and cap open pipes and ports; most repair kits serve fuel, oil, cooling or hydraulic components where dirt does the damage
- Check what the kit does not include — bores, sealing faces, threads and shafts — because a kit cannot compensate for a worn housing
- Assemble in the order and to the tightening figures given in the workshop manual for your engine, then test for leaks and correct operation before returning the engine to service
