Brand-new genuine Volvo Penta V-band clamp for selected D13 marine and TWD16 industrial exhaust/turbocharger joints. It applies even circumferential clamping force to the matching flanges and must be installed on clean, correctly seated faces with the specified gasket and tightening procedure.

🔌 Function

Secures the mating turbocharger or exhaust-pipe flanges and maintains a gas-tight joint under heat cycles, vibration and boost/exhaust pressure.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Cracks, distortion or damaged T-bolt threads
• Mis-seated flanges or repeated gasket failure

🛠️ Service Notes

• Bring the two flanges squarely together before the clamp goes on — a V-clamp centres and holds a joint but cannot pull a misaligned pipe into line
• Seat the clamp evenly round the flanges and nip it up lightly, then tap around the circumference with a soft mallet so the band settles and the flanges centre before final tightening
• Tighten in stages to the figure in the workshop manual for your engine and no further; the clamp is meant to pinch the flanges while still allowing for expansion and vibration, and overtightening distorts the band or the flanges
• Renew the clamp if the band is stretched, cracked or corroded, or if the bolt, nut or trunnion is damaged — a fatigued clamp can let the joint go completely
• Recheck the clamp after the first run up to working temperature, and again at the next service
