⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Oil mist or oil film around the breather connections and down the side of the engine
  • Crankcase pressure showing as oil pushed past seals or a dipstick that lifts
  • Fumes or an oily smell in the engine bay while running
  • On inspection the pipe is cracked, split or crushed, or the joint has worked loose
  • Heavy sludge build-up inside the bore restricting vapour flow to the separator

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Renew all disturbed sealing washers, O-rings, grommets and hose clamps.
  • Confirm the pipe is naturally aligned before tightening; do not pull it into position with the fasteners.
