  • Soot marks appearing where a joint has been pulled out of line by an unsupported pipe
  • On strip-down the bracket is cracked, usually at a weld or a bend, or the bolt holes are elongated
  • Heat scaling and seized or snapped fasteners at the mounting points

  • Tighten the hardware only after the supported component is correctly aligned.
