⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Oil weeping from either joint face of the intermediate section
  • Knock or vibration from the auxiliary-drive area under load
  • Fasteners at the joint repeatedly found loose
  • On strip-down the section is cracked, usually at a bolt boss or section change
  • Fretting, corrosion or a bruised sealing face on one of the mating surfaces

  • Inspect all sealing faces, dowels and threaded holes before assembly.
  • Renew the associated gaskets and seals and follow the specified tightening sequence.
