βš™οΈ Key Features

  • Flange screw for the engine cooling-system mountings
  • Flange head - no separate washer required
  • 0.058 kg
  • 14 applications across TAD-series engines

πŸ”Œ Function

Clamps a cooling-system component to the engine, the flange head spreading the load so the joint holds without a washer.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Coolant weeping from the joint the screw clamps
  • Component found able to move on its mounting
  • Screw loose or backed off
  • Flange face fretted where it has been working
  • Thread corroded or galled on removal

πŸ› οΈ Service Notes

  • The integral flange spreads the load and forms the bearing face, so do not add a separate washer unless the workshop manual for your engine specifically calls for one
  • Clean the threads and the seating face before fitting β€” grit, paint or old sealant under the flange gives a false torque reading and the joint will slacken off in service
  • Where the flange is serrated it must bear directly on clean metal to grip; discard any screw with a deformed flange or damaged serrations rather than reusing it
  • Tighten to the torque and sequence given in the workshop manual for your engine, and treat the screw as single-use where the manual specifies an angle-tightened or stretch fastener
  • Check the thread in the receiving component at the same time; a pulled or corroded thread will not hold a new screw however carefully it is torqued

πŸ“¦ Condition

  • Brand new
  • Supplied in original or equivalent packaging
