OEM fastening or load-distribution component used in the flywheel-housing, rear-engine and sealing-cover assembly. It restores the specified thread, strength, length and clamping geometry required by the original Volvo Penta assembly. Application note: Catalogue length: approximately 160 mm.

🔌 Function

Clamps the flywheel housing and rear-engine covers to the block through the long positions, holding the joint at its designed load.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Oil weeping from the covered joint as clamp load is lost
  • Screw found loose or backed off on inspection
  • Shank scored or bent where it passes through a long bore
  • Thread stretched or galled when the screw is withdrawn
  • Flange face fretted against the cover

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Order by thread and length - the source note gives M8 x 150 mm
  • Measure the screw you are removing before ordering: the flywheel-housing area takes similar flange screws in several lengths and they are easy to confuse
  • Follow the tightening sequence in the workshop manual for the housing
