🔧 Product Description

OEM fastening or load-distribution component used in the cooling-fan clutch, adapter and fan mounting assembly. It restores the specified thread, strength, length and clamping geometry required by the original Volvo Penta assembly.

🚤 Compatibility

Typically suits:

  • Volvo Penta TAD560VE
  • Volvo Penta TAD561VE
  • Volvo Penta TAD765VE
  • Volvo Penta TAD764VE
  • Volvo Penta TAD763VE
  • Volvo Penta TAD762VE
  • Volvo Penta TAD761VE
  • Engine Family: TAD
  • HP Range: Approximately 320 HP
  • Year Range: Approximately late 1990s-2010s

⚙️ Key Features

  • Hexagon socket-head screw for the plastic-fan adapter
  • 0.015 kg
  • 7 applications across TAD-series engines
  • Supersedes 20450912, catalogued earlier simply as a screw
  • 4 used per assembly

🔌 Function

Clamps the plastic cooling fan to its adapter or drive hub so the fan runs true on the drive.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Fan wobble or a rhythmic knock that rises with engine speed
  • Hairline cracks radiating from the fan's bolt holes
  • One or more screws found loose or missing
  • Socket rounded out so a key will not grip
  • Thread damaged in the adapter

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Renew the fan screws as a set - one loose screw loads the others and cracks the plastic hub
  • Check the fan for hairline cracks around every hole before refitting it, and renew the fan if any are found
  • A fan that comes off at speed takes the radiator and belts with it, so do not run the engine with a suspect hub
