🔌 Function

Seals the injector against its seat in the cylinder head, holding combustion pressure out of the injector bore and setting the injector's seated height in the head.

  • Hard starting, extended cranking or no-start
  • Rough idle, misfire or cylinder imbalance
  • Injector knock, excessive leak-off, poor spray pattern or calibration fault

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Renew the washer every time the injector is disturbed - a compressed or reused washer is a common source of combustion leakage past the injector
  • Clean the seat in the head and check that no old washer has been left behind before fitting, as a doubled washer alters injector height and will not seal
