• Rubber insert perished so the cable sits on bare metal
• Cable found free to move against the block or a bracket

🛠️ Service Notes

• An unclamped battery-side cable can chafe to the block and short at full battery current - refit the clamp rather than leaving it off
• Inspect the insulation where the old clamp sat before reusing the cable, and isolate the battery before working on the run
