OEM sealing component used in the graded multi-layer-steel cylinder-head sealing system. It restores the specified fluid-, air- or gas-tight interface when the adjoining parts are serviced. Application note: One-hole thickness grade. Select only after measuring piston protrusion and following the Volvo Penta workshop table.

🔌 Function

Seals the joint between cylinder head and block, containing combustion pressure in each bore while keeping the coolant and lubricating-oil passages separate from each other and from the outside of the engine.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Coolant loss, overheating or repeated cooling-system pressurisation
• Low compression, hard starting or cylinder misfire
• External leakage at the cylinder-head joint

• This is the one-hole grade, listed at 1.26 mm thick; the two-hole 20798186 and the three-hole 20798191 are the thicker grades in the same family, so count the identification holes on the gasket you remove and confirm the choice against measured piston protrusion
• It replaces the earlier 20795927 in this grade
• Check the head and block faces for flatness and cleanliness before fitting - a graded gasket cannot compensate for a distorted or damaged face
