🔌 Function

Carries crankcase gas or separated oil between the breather connections, holding the bore and routing so the crankcase can vent freely.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Oil misting from a split, or an oily film along the breather run
  • Crankcase pressure showing as oil pushed past a seal or the filler cap lifting
  • Hose found hard and cracked, or soft and swollen
  • Hose collapsed inwards so it closes under suction
  • Chafe mark or rub-through where the hose passes a bracket
