🔌 Function

Forms the union where a low-pressure fuel line meets its housing, passing fuel through internal drillings into the port while the line is clamped at an angle.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Diesel weeping from under the union
  • Hard starting, hunting or a stall as air is drawn in at the joint
  • Sealing washers found flattened from reuse and the faces scored
  • Thread galled or the nipple found stretched
  • Internal drilling found partly blocked with debris

  • Fit new sealing washers each side and check the drilling is clear before condemning the nipple
