• Volvo Penta TAD754GE

⚙️ Key Features

• 0.115 kg
• 4 applications across TAD-series engines
• Cooling System group

🔌 Function

Forms the threaded connection in the thermostat or coolant-distribution housing that a pipe, hose stub or sender screws into, carrying coolant across the joint.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Coolant seeping at the connection, leaving a white or pink crust
• Coolant level dropping with no drip visible when cold
• Erratic temperature reading if a sender screws into this adapter
• Thread found corroded or galled in the housing
• Sealing face pitted, or the sealing ring hardened and taking a set

🛠️ Service Notes

• Renew the sealing ring or washer rather than refitting a hardened one
• Take care with the female thread in an alloy housing - it strips more easily than the adapter does
• Pressure-test or run up and check for weeping before closing the engine cover
