🔌 Function

The cap mechanically retains the SCR filter and seals the opening through which the element is serviced. Maintaining a leak-free closure is essential because air entry, fluid loss or crystallised deposits can interfere with the dosing-pump supply.

• Renew the cap if it is cracked, crazed, or has a damaged sealing land or thread — a hairline crack will let air into a circuit long before it ever drips
• Bleed and prime the circuit as the manual describes, then run the engine and check the cap and its seal under working pressure
