A genuine Volvo Penta cable channel that routes and shields the engine wiring harness along the original path. Its clips, bends and mounting points keep the loom away from exhaust heat, sharp edges and moving components while supporting the harness at designed intervals.

🔌 Function

The channel carries the harness mechanically so the wires and connectors are not required to support their own weight. It controls routing and isolates the loom from damaging surfaces and movement.

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Mount the channel along the harness route so cables lie in it without tension or tight bends, fixed to sound structure and clear of hot surfaces and moving parts
  • Dress and deburr any cut end, and arrange the exits so cables leave over a rounded, protected edge rather than a raw one
  • Do not overfill it — cables should sit in the channel, not be forced under the lid, and a bulging channel chafes the very harness it is there to protect
  • Refit the lid and all its clips so the channel stays shut under vibration, and check nothing is trapped or pinched before the batteries go back on
