🔌 Function

The rocker converts camshaft-lobe motion into downward movement of the intake valve bridge. The roller must track the lobe centrally, and the rocker geometry must preserve the designed ratio so both intake valves open evenly and with the correct lift.

• Set the valve clearances with the engine at the crank position the manual specifies for that cylinder, and recheck them once the pedestal bolts are fully torqued
• Turn the engine over by hand through a complete cycle to confirm nothing binds, and recheck the clearances after the first period of running if the manual requires it
