🔌 Function

Holds the parking brake off while the air system is charged, and applies it mechanically through its pre-loaded spring when air pressure is released.

🛠️ Service Notes

• Safety-critical: the internal spring is heavily pre-loaded and must be caged using the caging bolt before the chamber is removed, cut or scrapped - an uncaged unit can release with lethal force
• Discharge the air system, chock the machine and secure it against movement before removing the chamber - the parking brake is what is holding it
• Check the supply hose, the valve and the system pressure before condemning the chamber, and have brake work signed off by a competent person
