🔌 Function

Seals a fuel union or port face, filling the gland so the joint holds against supply and return pressure.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Diesel weeping from the joint after it has been disturbed
  • Air in the fuel giving hard starting or a lumpy idle
  • Ring found flattened, hardened or taking a permanent set
  • Nibbled or extruded edge where the ring has been pinched on assembly

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Fit dry or lightly wetted with clean diesel, never with grease or sealant, and check the gland and lead-in for nicks first
  • An o-ring is single-use - never refit one that has been in service
