Brand-new genuine Volvo Penta calibrated fuel overflow valve for the TAD1140VE, TAD1141VE and TAD1142VE low-pressure fuel system. It maintains the required gallery or return backpressure and releases excess fuel into the return circuit.

🔌 Function
Regulates return flow so the low-pressure fuel circuit retains the pressure required for stable starting, idle and load operation.

- Incorrect circuit pressure or unstable operation
- Hard starting, poor performance or delayed response
- Leakage around the valve or connections
- Valve stuck open, closed or partially restricted
- Contamination, corrosion or damaged sealing surfaces
🛠️ Service Notes
- Treat it as a sealed, non-adjustable unit — renew it rather than attempting to clean, shim or adjust the internals
- Work clean: cap the openings, wipe the area down before opening the fuel system, and do not let dirt or fibres into the fuel side while the valve is off
- Renew the sealing washers, O-rings or gasket that come with the valve, and never reuse a crushed copper or aluminium washer
- Tighten to the figure in the workshop manual for your engine; these valves screw into fuel housings and heads that strip readily
- Bleed and prime the fuel system as the manual for your engine describes, then run the engine and check the joint for weeping under working pressure
