Brand-new genuine Volvo Penta top cooling plate for the D13/D16 plate heat exchanger. One plate is fitted at the top of the heat-transfer stack and establishes the first alternating coolant/raw-water passage beneath top plate 21111056.

🔌 Function

Begins the alternating plate flow path and transfers heat between the closed coolant and raw-water circuits without mixing them.

• Leakage at the surrounding gasket

🛠️ Service Notes

• Treat it as part of the cooling circuit: check both sealing faces are clean and true, renew every gasket and O-ring, and never refit a distorted or corroded plate
• Look through the passages for scale, silt and corrosion while the plate is off and flush them clear; a partly blocked plate will not shed heat even though it looks sound
• Fit the fasteners evenly in stages, in the sequence and to the figures in the workshop manual for your engine, so the plate is not pulled out of flat
• Fill and vent the system properly, then run the engine to temperature and check the joints for seepage
