🔧 Product Description
A genuine Volvo Penta complete oil-cooler installation kit for selected HS25A and HS45A marine transmissions. It includes the cooler, hose, fittings, mounting bracket, clamp and hardware required to add or renew the gearbox cooling circuit. The cooler itself is a copper-nickel shell-and-tube unit of approximately 3 inch body diameter and 9 inch bundle length, with 1 1/4 inch water connections and 1/2 inch NPT oil ports.

🔌 Function
The cooler transfers heat from transmission oil to the engine raw-water circuit, maintaining oil viscosity and protecting clutches, bearings and seals.
⚠️ Common Signs of Failure
- Transmission oil temperature is excessive
- Cooler leaks oil or seawater
- Oil becomes contaminated with water
- Hose or fittings are corroded
🛠️ Service Notes
- If only the heat exchanger has failed and the hoses and bracket are sound, cooler element 21112814 at 1.286 kg is the part on its own
- Pressure-test both the oil and water sides before commissioning the circuit
