🔌 Function

The actuator moves the engine fuel-control or speed-control linkage according to commands from the governor controller.

• Check the linkage, pivots and mountings move freely; a stiff or seized mechanism will kill a new actuator as surely as it killed the old one
• Fit it so it works through its full travel without binding and reaches both end positions properly, with the connector seated dry and locked
• Some actuators need calibration or a learning procedure with Volvo Penta diagnostic equipment before they will operate correctly, so check what your engine requires
