🔧 Product Description

A mechanical diaphragm-type low-pressure fuel feed pump for D1 and D2 compact diesels. The engine-driven lever draws fuel from the tank and supplies the filter and injection equipment at a stable priming pressure.

🔌 Function

Lifts diesel fuel from the tank, maintains low-pressure supply to the injection system and provides manual priming where fitted.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Hard starting or loss of fuel prime
  • Low delivery pressure or flow
  • External fuel or oil leakage
  • Unstable running under load
  • Internal wear, noise or contamination

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Work clean: cap the pipes and plug the ports as soon as they are open, and fit new sealing washers, gaskets or O-rings on every fuel joint you break
  • Find out what killed the old pump before fitting a new one — dirty fuel, a collapsed or blocked suction line or a restricted filter will finish the new pump the same way
  • Fit the pump the right way round for flow direction, and reassemble any drive lever, cam follower or gasket stack exactly as it came apart
  • Prime and bleed the fuel system in the order set out for your engine before cranking, and never run the pump dry
  • With the engine running, check every joint for weeping fuel and check the fuel supply pressure against the figure in the workshop manual for your engine
