🔧 Product Description

Brand-new genuine Volvo Penta calibrated overflow valve used in the low-pressure fuel-return circuit on selected D11, D13 and D16 industrial engines. The valve maintains the designed fuel-gallery backpressure and meters excess fuel into the return line.

Regulates return flow to retain sufficient feed pressure for reliable injection-system filling, cooling and purging.

  • Long cranking or difficult hot starting
  • Low fuel-feed pressure
  • Unstable idle or loss of power
  • Excessive return flow
  • Diesel leakage at the valve connection

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Treat it as a sealed, non-adjustable unit — renew it rather than attempting to clean, shim or adjust the internals
  • Work clean: cap the openings, wipe the area down before opening the fuel system, and do not let dirt or fibres into the fuel side while the valve is off
  • Renew the sealing washers, O-rings or gasket that come with the valve, and never reuse a crushed copper or aluminium washer
  • Tighten to the figure in the workshop manual for your engine; these valves screw into fuel housings and heads that strip readily
  • Bleed and prime the fuel system as the manual for your engine describes, then run the engine and check the joint for weeping under working pressure
