🔌 Function

Terminates a multi-pin switch branch of the engine harness, holding several terminals in their correct positions and sealing the joint.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • One function in the branch dropping out while the others still work
  • Faults that appear with vibration, damp or temperature change
  • Connector body cracked or the latch broken so it will not lock
  • Green corrosion or water tracks found across the pins when opened
  • A terminal found backed out or its retention found weak on strip-down

  • Note the pin positions before stripping a multi-pin connector - the wires must go back into the same cavities
  • Check for voltage drop and a sound earth before condemning the connector
