🔌 Function

Measures exhaust temperature at the assigned catalyst or exhaust-pipe position and reports it to the ECU.

  • Power reduction or derate with an exhaust-temperature fault logged
  • Temperature reading frozen, drifting or reading full scale
  • Aftertreatment dosing suspended or a regeneration failing to complete
  • Sensor lead hardened, cracked or its connector corroded
  • Probe found sooted, burnt back or seized into its boss on removal

  • Check the harness and connector before replacing the sensor, as an open circuit reads the same as a failed probe
  • This sensor supersedes 21163300, which was catalogued earlier as a wiring harness, so check what the engine actually has fitted before ordering
