🔧 Product Description

Genuine large-diameter suction fan used with Volvo Penta viscous fan-clutch radiator packages. The documented assembly uses an approximately 890 mm fan ring together with a matched fan clutch, hub, adapter and fan-speed sensor. Fan direction, offset and clutch type must match the complete cooling package.

🔌 Function

The fan draws ambient air through the radiator and charge-air cooler so engine coolant and intake-air temperatures remain within their operating range.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • Cracked, chipped or distorted blades
  • Fan contacting the ring or guard
  • Insufficient airflow and overheating under load
  • Excessive vibration
  • Loose fan-to-clutch fasteners
  • Incorrect fan direction after cooling-package replacement

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Handle the fan carefully and never fit one that is cracked, chipped or distorted — an out-of-balance fan wrecks the pulley bearing and can break up in service
  • Check the hub, pulley and drive belt while the fan is off, and make sure the fan turns true with no wobble once fitted
  • Fit the fan the correct way round so it moves air in the original direction, and tighten the fasteners evenly to the figures in the workshop manual for your engine
  • Confirm the blade tips clear the shroud, hoses and wiring all the way round before starting the engine
