🔌 Function

Permits airflow in the required direction while preventing reverse flow through the emergency shutdown circuit.

🛠️ Service Notes

• Note which way round the valve sits before removing it and fit the replacement the same way — a non-return valve installed backwards will block flow entirely or allow the drain-back it was there to prevent
• Work clean and fit new sealing washers or O-rings on the connections; a small amount of debris is enough to hold a check valve off its seat
• Check the new valve moves freely and seals in the reverse direction before fitting, and blow or flow test it in the correct direction if you are unsure of its orientation
• Hold the valve by its hex or flats when tightening, never by clamping the body, and tighten to the figure given in the workshop manual for your engine
• Run the system afterwards and confirm the symptom has gone as well as that the joints are dry
