🔧 Product Description

Genuine Volvo Penta protective fan grating used on radiator-cooled TAD5 and TAD7 generating-set engines. It forms part of the cooling-package guarding around the fan and shroud, preventing accidental access to rotating blades while preserving the designed airflow path through the radiator.

  • A grating screens and protects the opening behind it — refit it whenever the item behind it has been serviced, and do not run the installation with it removed
  • Keep the openings clear: a blocked or partly blocked grating restricts flow, and clearing debris off it is routine maintenance rather than a repair
  • Fit using its own fasteners together with any spacers, seals or trim, and do not overtighten — these are light pressings or mouldings that crack and distort easily
  • Renew a grating that is cracked, distorted or has broken fixing points rather than patching it, since a loose one will vibrate and wear against its frame
