🔌 Function

🛠️ Service Notes

• Fit into a clean, dry, undamaged port with a new sealing washer or O-ring, start it by hand, and tighten only to the figure in the workshop manual — overtightening distorts the sensing element and shifts the reading
• Do not wrap sealing tape or smear jointing compound over the sensing face or into the port; shreds of tape travel into the system and a partly blocked port reads low
• Handle the sensor by its body: never lever it round by the connector or the wiring, and do not knock or drop it, since a sensing element is easily damaged without any external sign
• Mate the electrical connector clean and dry and push it fully home until it locks, then clip the harness so it cannot hang or pull on the sensor
• Before condemning a sensor, satisfy yourself the pressure it reports is genuinely wrong — an implausible reading is often a correct report of a real fault; after fitting, check the reading is stable and sensible cold and warm and that the sensor is dry under pressure
