A genuine Volvo Penta adapter package used to convert an older 290-pattern transom opening or installation to the later DPS OXi / OX sterndrive arrangement. The machined adapter and plate provide the required mounting geometry and earthing connection.

🔌 Function

The kit changes the mounting interface and sealing surface so a later DPS OXi / OX drive system can be installed in an approved older 290-pattern transom arrangement.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

• Repower drive does not match the existing 290 mounting pattern
• Old transom plate is corroded or damaged
• Ground bonding is missing
• Stud pattern or sealing face is incompatible
• Factory conversion instructions specify kit 21327006

🛠️ Service Notes

• Check the kit contents against the parts list for your engine before you start, and confirm it is the kit specified for your engine's serial number — kit contents change between engine versions
• Lay the contents out and identify every item against the assembly as it comes apart, so nothing is left over at the end
• Use all the new parts supplied and discard the old ones, even where an old item still looks serviceable; the kit is packaged as a complete replacement for what it covers
• While access is open, clean and inspect the mating parts that are not in the kit — new seals, gaskets or wearing parts fitted to a worn housing, shaft or face will not last
• Tighten, set and adjust to the figures given in the workshop manual for your engine, and renew any single-use fasteners or locking devices the kit provides
