Genuine clamp used in the remote AdBlue/DEF filler-hose assembly of selected Volvo Penta SCR-equipped industrial engines. Two clamps are used in the documented filler arrangement to secure the reducing-agent hose to the filler neck and tank connection.

🔌 Function

The clamp secures the AdBlue filler hose and prevents leakage, air entry and hose separation during filling and operation.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • AdBlue leakage or white crystallisation
  • Filler hose moving or separating
  • Clamp band cracking or corrosion
  • Damaged tightening screw
  • Reducing-agent smell or contamination around the filler

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Match the clamp to the hose outside diameter so the band closes well within its working range rather than at the very end of its travel
  • Position it over the spigot behind the bead or barb, with the screw where a driver or spanner can still reach it once everything is refitted
  • Tighten to seal, not to crush — an over-tightened worm-drive clamp cuts into soft hose and starts the leak you were trying to stop
  • Renew clamps when a hose is changed rather than reusing them, and keep band, housing and screw all marine-grade stainless so the clamp does not corrode against itself
  • Where two clamps are fitted to one connection, stagger the screw heads and recheck both after the first running period
