🔌 Function

The flange creates a controlled restriction that regulates flow, pressure or gas velocity through the assigned circuit.

🛠️ Service Notes

  • The opening is calibrated to a specific flow or pressure figure and must not be drilled out, elongated or otherwise modified to 'improve' flow — doing so changes the restriction the circuit is tuned around
  • Fit it the correct way round if the bore isn't symmetrical, and use a new gasket at each face, since a restricting flange only performs to its rating when both faces seal properly
