🔧 Product Description
A complete raw-water strainer used on early Volvo Penta D4 and D6 marine diesel installations. The assembly has a downward-facing inlet and side-facing outlet and removes debris before seawater reaches the cooling system.

🔌 Function
The filter removes weed, shell fragments, sand and other debris from incoming seawater before it enters the pump and heat exchangers.

🛠️ Service Notes
- This strainer has a downward-facing inlet and side-facing outlet — check the orientation suits the installation before fitting, as filters in this range differ in port arrangement, not just size
- Close the seacock before opening the transparent inspection cover, renew the cover seal each time, and check the cover itself for crazing or cracking
- Clean the removable strainer basket at every service and after any grounding or run through weed, since a starved seawater pump destroys its own impeller
