An auxiliary filler-neck connection used on the Volvo Penta 25-litre SCR/AdBlue or DEF tank assembly. It provides the specified hose or transfer connection into tank 23158396.

Provides the auxiliary fill or transfer connection between the DEF filling hose and the tank.

⚠️ Common Signs of Failure

  • DEF leakage around the neck or O-ring
  • Cracking or chemical deformation
  • Contamination entering the DEF tank
  • Difficulty filling the tank because of restriction or damage

🛠️ Service Notes

  • Note how the neck is sealed, clipped and orientated before removal, and cover the opening as soon as it is off so nothing can drop in
  • Renew the gasket, O-ring or seal at its base rather than reusing it, and clean both faces without scoring them
  • Check the face the cap seals against for pitting, distortion and old sealant, and fit a new cap if it will not seal cleanly on the new neck
  • Refit hoses, breather connections and brackets so the neck is not stressed or pulled out of line, tightening to the manual figures for your engine
  • Fill, run up and check the neck and cap for leaks and for correct venting rather than assuming the joint is good
